Welcome to Highrock Quincy! Whatever may have brought you to this page, and wherever you may be coming from, please know that you are welcome here. Below you will find some of the basic information about visiting us and getting to know our church. We look forward to meeting you face to face!
Sunday worship at Highrock is about real connection to God, honest connection with God's people, and challenging connection to God's purposes. Join us to rejoice, reflect, and rest as we enjoy being in the presence of the living God.
Please come as you are. We worship in a variety of ways, through songs, stories, and teaching, and holy communion. We value relevance, while adhering to centuries-old Christian traditions, and incorporate both ancient and contemporary elements in our worship.
KidsRock, our children's ministry, is offered during the worship service for infants through fifth grade. One of our greeters will be happy to direct you to a KidsRock teacher when you arrive.
Join us for a delecious home cooked meal prepared by our SoulFood team. This is a great way to get to know people at Highrock in a low-key, welcoming setting.
*We enjoy a SoulFood meal about twice a month. Other weeks we may have a coffee hour.
Kids ROCK! Just ask our teachers (and the kids, of course!) Our prayer is that the Lord uses the hour we have with the children every week to bring them into a relationship with Christ.
Look for the KidsRock sign when you enter the church. A teacher will be there to meet your child and sign your child into KidsRock. Once signed in, find a seat in the sanctuary. The children will be dismissed following the opening time of worship.
The first Sunday of every month is ‘Family Sunday’. On Family Sunday, the “Rock Star” class joins us for worship as we seek to expose them to a Sunday worship experience, including communion. We encourage parents to discuss communion with their kids, and invite their kids to participate when they have made a personal commitment to Christ.
Both the Little Rocks (age 3—Kindergarten) and the Rock Stars (grades 1—5) are escorted to their classrooms by their teachers upon dismissal from service (approx. 11:20am).
The age-appropriate programming includes a Bible lesson, crafts, games, an “everyone succeeds” Bible Memory program, regular times of Praise & Worship, a simple snack, and lots of encouragement along the way.
