What is Partnership?
One of the deepest ways to get connected at Highrock is by becoming a partner. Many churches dub this commitment "membership", but we call it "partnership" since it represents a pledge to partner with others in the congregation to join God in His work through our church. Partnership is a formal commitment of Highrock's vision and mission. While we have many guests to our church, partners are those who are the hosts and who consider Highrock their church home. In addition, partners are eligible to vote on church-wide matters and hold certain leadership positions.
Partnership is not to be taken lightly; it is a deep commitment to the local church across several areas of life. At the same time, choosing not to be a partner should also not be taken lightly. The church was never meant to be something we just 'show up' to. The church is a movement given by God to advance his kingdom and his purposes forward in this world. So when considering partnership at Highrock, consider why you might say 'yes' or 'no'.
After consideration, we hope you will want to invest in Highrock in this way and are excited to invite you into the process!
Steps to Partnership
Take a Partnership Class. Two or three times per year we offer a class introducing attendees to Highrock's history, our denomination's distinguishing characteristics, and partner expectations. After this class, attendees will be invited to apply as a partner, but there is no pressure to commit if it is not the right time or right fit for you. Partnership classes are offered every few months.
Sign the Partner Covenant. This can be done immediately after taking the Partnership class, or online (before or after taking the class).
Receive Approval from the Current Partnership. At the following partners' meeting, all new partners will be added by vote. Once you are voted into partnership you will be able to join in the full participation of the church, with voting rights.
